Northern Plains – Nier’s Village

1 Travel east to Nier’s Village.
2 Note that you can also do quests now to earn some gold and other useful items. It is recommended to buy Beastbane from the weapon shop as it is one of the best one-handed swords you can use during the first story route.
3 Go to the Eastern Gate to travel to the Eastern Road.

Eastern Road

1 Follow the path going east. When the path splits, take the one on the southeast that goes around the edge of the mountain.
2 Take the exit to reach the Desert area.

The Desert

1 Head for the marked destination to the southeast. Listen to the conversation when you pass by the small structure near the entrance.
2 Take out the wolves along the path. They will run away when the wolf shade appears. You can loot the dead wolves afterwards for Wolves Fang.
3 While you are at the Desert, watch out for dust clouds on the ground where scorpions are hiding. You can kill them to get Scorpion Claw and Scorpion Tail.
4 Keep moving southeast toward Facade.
5 Watch the cutscene.

1 From your starting point, move along the outer perimeter (to the east) of the city and make your way to the marked destination. When you reach the front courtyard of the King’s Mansion, try not to jump in the sand stream on the side.
2 Check the King’s Mansion’s door. Afterwards, fast travel to the city entrance.
3 Go up the stairs for a short scene and pick up the fruits that the masked girl dropped.
4 Talk to the girl (Fyra). Follow her around the city.
5 When you reach the King’s Mansion, talk to Fyra and the King’s advisor.
6 Ride the sand skiff again. Walk back to the city’s entrance and talk to Kaine. Afterwards, wait for Fyra to catch up for a cutscene.
7 Talk to Fyra and examine the gate to the west. Speak with Fyra again.
8 Exit Facade through the west gate again.

The Desert (Revisit)

1 Follow Fyra going north.
2 Take out the wolves near the sandstorm.
3 Continue following Fyra north to the Barren Temple while killing more wolves along the way.
4 Talk to Fyra and enter the temple.

Do some side quests.

Try to earn some gold if you do not have enough to purchase Beastbane from the weapon shop in Nier’s Village. The weapon is one of the best to use at this point in the game, owing to its high attack power.

You can skip Fyra’s tour.

You will be offered to skip Fyra’s tour of Facade. It is however, not recommended to do so as it helps you get acquainted with some useful facilities like the item shop and sand skiff dock. Fyra will also talk a fair bit about the city’s history and laws which is quite interesting to hear.
