Strategy
First Encounter
When the fight starts, keep moving sideways to avoid Goose’s charge attack. You can try and bait him near a wall and move away at the last second, causing him to crash into it and fall down. Unload on him with melee attacks and magi before he gets up. Goose will also throw out a shockwave attack by jumping into the air and coming down hard on the ground. Jump or run away to avoid getting clipped by the shockwave’s radius.
Subsequent Encounters
Goose will gain armor upon being revived which you can destroy with Dark Blasts or Dark Lance. He retains most of his attacks from the first encounter so dealing with him the second and third time will not be too difficult. After dying, Goose will release a cloud of poisonous mist that steadily drains your health. You cannot cure this using Antidotal Weeds so use healing items instead to stay alive and run to the next area when Kaine gives the signal.
Staircase Section
The game will automatically end with a game over if Goose manages to catch you during the staircase section. Equip a spear and destroy the boxes along the way while running up the stairs as fast as you can.
