Strategy
Facade (First Encounter)
Kill off all the wolves quickly using magic before focusing on Roc. The boss will usually attack with crescent energy waves that home in on you when it jumps up in the air. Run away when you see Roc jump and spin in the air to avoid getting hit. When he lands, get in close and attack with your weapon. Avoid using magic as the boss has very high resistance against it.
After lowering Roc’s health to about half, the battle will end with a cutscene.
Wolves Den (Second Encounter)
Similar to the first encounter, Roc will call wolves to attack your party when you enter the area. Bombard them with magic to kill them off quickly. Roc will then come down to face you one final time.
Roc is more aggressive this time around. He will gain a spinning attack that comes out fairly quickly. Roc can throw out the attack at any time but he will usually do it when he jumps up to the mound in the middle of the area so be ready to dodge or run to the side to avoid it. You should also watch out for his forward charge which can be evaded by moving sideways as well. As with the first fight, focus on landing melee attacks when he misses and always stay on the move. When the attack gauge appears, unload on him with your weapon to finish him off.
