Game Differences in NieR Replicant Remaster
Below is a list of changes between the PS3 title and the latest version of NieR Replicant Remaster Ver. 1.22474487139:
A large portion of the changes in Ver. 1.22474487139 consist of new content which provides more detail to the main story.
The new episode, “Mermaid Princess,” will appear after progressing with the main story. Mermaid Princess will include a new boss battle.
Brand new side quests
A new quest, “The Promised Gift,” can be unlocked after obtaining an item and interacting with Popoi. The client is a captain standing by the docks.
New Word Buff
A new Word Buff, “Ashurfarra,” hastes MP recovery and grants HP absorption. You can unlock the new verse after the encounter with the new episode boss “Louise.”
A New Ending
Ending E, which follows the events after ending D, recounts another tale that was previously inaccessible. To tie up with the new unlockable ending, players can also earn a new trophy achievement for unlocking this mysterious ending.
Another change that can be observed is the presence of costumes. These changes take effect even during cutscenes.
Features costumes and weapons from NieR Automata and comes free-of-charge as DLC. Unlike other titles, the chosen adjustments will also show during FMVs.
Quality of life changes
Below is a list of quality of life changes which improve the experience for players, providing a way for the title to cater to both returning players and newcomers.
Aiming or the highly anticipated lock-on feature is now available for the latest version. Lock on provides a way for players to easily focus on an approaching enemy.
Auto battle implemented
Auto battle is an option that is accessible exclusively on easy mode. Players who wish to enjoy the game’s story can rely on auto battle to easily skim through battles.

The paid DLC “15 Nightmares,” is included as free DLC for the latest version.
Some entries from Jonah’s diary have their text updated for the new version.
The newest version is more fast paced than its predecessor. Some actions have been fine-tuned such as faster mobility, and charging while moving.
In addition, there are also other actions like combos which include magic.
The remaster comes with greatly enhanced graphics for the PS4 version. Cutscenes are crisp and clean. The graphics for Ver. 1.22474487139 is on-par with the previous installment, “NieR: Automata.”
Unlike its predecessor where voices only show during combat, the latest version features full-dialogue voicing which make for a more immersive story-telling.
