Walkthrough
Barren Temple
1 | Go down the stairs and enter the door to the east to begin the first trial. |

2 | The first trial requires you to reach the glowing cube at the other end of the area without jumping. Move the dark cubes around to give you cover from the light cubes firing projectiles. When you reach the glowing cube on the other side, destroy it. |
3 | Head back to the previous hall and take the door to the west for a cutscene. The second trial will begin afterwards. |
4 | For the second trial, simply avoid standing still. When the trial begins, start running immediately to the glowing cube to the northwest corner of the room while avoiding the projectiles. Destroy the cube to clear the trial. |
5 | Leave the room through the door to the west to reach the next area. |
6 | When the view switches to side-scrolling mode, double jump your way across the cubes to your left and go through the next door. |
7 | For the third trial, you cannot run or use magic. To reach the glowing cube at the end of the room, walk past the line of projectiles during the brief moment the light cubes stop firing. Walk to the right side of the path (south on the map) and watch the timing of the projectiles. When you reach the glowing cube, destroy it. Afterwards, exit through the door to the east. |
8 | When you reach another hall, take the door to directly east to begin the fourth trial. |
9 | For the fourth trial, you must reach the glowing cube at the end of the room without defending. You can use the dark cubes and push them forward to give you cover against the projectiles as you advance. Another and faster way to clear it is to immediately run to the column of projectile cubes on your left and get up on it for a safe path to the glowing cube. |
10 | Head back to the previous hall and north. Enter the next door to the east to begin the fifth trial. |
11 | The fifth trial prohibits the use of magic. To clear this quickly, immediately run forward past the first projectile cube to your left and start moving northeast (you should be between the first projectile cube and a regular cube). You will end up at the outer perimeter of the area (north) where there are relatively few projectiles coming your way. Make your way to the glowing cube and destroy it to clear the trial. |
12 | Exit to the previous hall again and take the door directly west to begin the sixth trial. |
13 | For the sixth trial, you cannot use melee attacks. Use Dark Blast or Dark Lance to destroy all the glowing cubes in the room while avoiding projectiles. Afterwards, exit through the west door. |
14 | Make your way across the cubes to your left again to reach the next door. |
15 | Go through the door and move forward. Be sure to gather the iron ore form the harvest point in the middle. Enter the next door ahead for the seventh trial. |
16 | For the last trial, all you need to do is kill the shades that appear without evading. Use melee and magic attacks to deal with them quickly, including the large shade at the end. Exit through the east door afterwards and move north to the open area. |
17 | Cross the stone bridge that stretches west. You can gather crystal at the harvest point here as well. Go inside the door at the end of the path. |
18 | You can use the save point to your left if you want. Move forward through the corridor and prepare to battle Shahriyar. |
Facade – Desert – Eastern Road
1 | Talk to the Prince of Facade to get Rebirth. Talk to him again and leave for a cutscene. You will get Dark Wall (Sealed Verse) afterwards. |

2 | Before heading back to the village, talk to the Royal Advisor outside the manor. He will give you access to the sand wells found in the Desert. These can be used to fast travel around the Desert. Talk to the guard as well get the sandstorm compass. |
3 | Exit Facade by boarding the sand skiff to the entrance and go through the Desert. |
4 | Head northeast to reach the Eastern Road again. |
Strategy
Shahriyar
The general strategy against Shahriyar is to avoid its projectiles until you see glowing red cubes appear on its “body.” Attack them with range magic to damage the boss throughout its different forms. You can choose to guard against the projectiles or run away to avoid taking damage.
When Shahriyar transforms into a giant humanoid of blocks, wait for it to slam its arm to the ground and dodge away from it. Its block hands will turn into glowing red ones that you can attack to continue depleting the boss’ health.
For the last phase, Shahriyar will start to shoot rotating lasers. As with the first phase, avoid the projectiles and lasers while shooting magic at the glowing cubes. When the attack gauge appears, charge Dark Lance to finish off Shahriyar.
