Finding the entrance to Maka Rah Shrine

Finding Maka Rah shrine is can be quite annoying. The shrine sits in the center-most area of Lake Kilsie. It’s hidden in the side of a cliff near a wooden pier. When you reach that area, you can catch a glimpse of the glowing orange structure of the Shrine. You’ll spot it through a crack in the cliff but Link can’t fit. Besides, entering this shrine takes moments of time.

While facing the crack, there’s a pile of rocks behind you. Break it using your remote bombs to reveal an updraft. Use the updraft to float straight up into the air. There, you’ll see an entire wooden pier. Glide southeast past the furthest point to the opposite side of the lake where there’s another pile of rocks.

Destroy those and repeat the same process. However, this time – head northeast. Stay close to the border of the lake until you spot another pile of rocks. Drop a bomb and break them before traveling north to the next pile on a small island in the lake. Bomb the rocks as well before facing northwest and paraglide into the air. You’ll spot a torch-lit opening dug into the side of cliff. Glide over and there’s another larger updraft coming from a hole. Drop down the hole carefully before making your through the cave.

Swim through the small body of water before finding the entrance to the shrine. However, there are some enemies to take out. Take them out and enter the shrine.

Maka Rah Shrine Trial

When you enter the shrine, head forward to light the unlit torch with a Fire Arrow and fire-weapon of your choosing. Cross the rolling obstacle and stand on the switch. Then, the door in front of you opens to reveal four Guardians. Take them out before using Cryonis to build ice pillars. Then, climb the ledges to grab the chest on the right and press the switch on the left.

The next door opens. Press the next switch as a spiked rolling ball smashes through the wall of crates ahead. Head up the ramp and look back. There are some breakable blocks on the ledge. Blow them up and you’ll find a chest to grab with Magnesis. Keep Magnesis equipped as you head around the corners to retrieve the chest on the ledge on your left. Around the next corner, there’s another switch. Press it for the next spike ball to come rolling. Use Stasis to stop the trap before crouching to the side past it. Doing so allows you to avoid any damage.

With that, the exit is up ahead. Head to the altar and speak to Maka Rah and grab your Spirit Orb.
