Hero’s Origin Information
Hero’s Origin formchanges to Counter Shield that allows you to go into a guard stance by pressing and holding the □ button. Do note that you will only be able to block attacks from the front in this state.
Features of Counter Shield
True to its name, Counter Shield lets you perform a counterattack after guarding. You can perform a follow-up called Counter First or he more powerful Counter Rush depending on how many times you successfully blocked enemy attacks.

| Hidden Potential | Strength and Magic increase when battling powerful enemies. |
| Combo Master | Continue combos even if your swings miss the enemy. |
| Second Chance | Always retain at least 1 HP when hit if you have 2 HP or more. |
| Counter Blast | Press X after a successful block to send enemies flying. Reprisal attack. |
| Barrier | Press the square button to guard against attacks from all directions. |
| Aerial Recovery | Press the circle button after taking damage in the air to recover. |

Counter Shield
