A Fragmented Monument Side Quest Walkthrough

When you take the A Fragmented Monument side quest, you’ll have a chance to open Kah Yah Shrine. First, approach Garini near the Pamorae Ruins. While he’s there, you’ll find out that he’s trying to make a hidden shrine appear. You can either walk there on your own or have a young boy show you how. The boy’s in Lurelin Village.

After that, speak to Garini. He’ll send you off to note down what it says on the scattered monument pieces. Your job is to match the wheel’s looking at. However, you have to find three monument shards. In order to complete this quest, you have to take a photo of each shard.

Note: If you want to have an easier time doing this quest, find the shards at night. Their letters glow blue when the sun goes down.

Monument Shard Locations

  1. For the first fragment, it’s nearby. Follow the rock wall from the two glowing platforms on the left. However, make sure your back is facing Garini. Keep following it until you see three palm trees. The first shard is sitting in the grass next to the boulder.
  2. When looking for the second one, head back to Lurelin Village. While you’re heading there, move towards Palmorae Beach. You’ll find out that the second shard is nestled between a few rocks in the water near the crates and floating barrels.
  3. Finally, the last and third fragment is at the far edge of Soka Point. If you spot a crescent shaped cave, follow it until the very end.

After you’ve taken a picture of all three monument fragments, Garini now deciphers the message:

“When the two find their place and kneel in reverence, the shrine will reveal itself.”

Unfortunately, Garini can’t figure it out. But you can. Head towards one of the two orange glowing platforms. Use crouch to kneel and Kah Yah Shrine springs out of the ground.
