New DLC and Expansion Pass [The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild]

NINTENDO HAS RELEASED NEWS THAT THE LEGEND OF ZELDA: BREATH OF THE WILD HAS SOME DLC WITH AN EXPANSION PASS

DLC, Expansion Pass for Zelda: Breath of the Wild

Apparently, the latest Zelda game is now getting season passes. Nintendo announced that Breath of the Wild will have two pieces of downloadable content throughout 2017. However to get them both, you’ll need to buy the Zelda Expansion Pass.

The pass unfortunately costs $20. (Check here to find out how much it costs in your country) But when you buy the pass, it comes with two DLC packs. One will add a hard mode and a Cave of Trials (similar to Twilight Princess) while the other adds “a new dungeon and a new original story”. The whole package also involves Link wearing a Switch logo on it.

According to Nintendo, upon buying the Expansion pass, there are some immediate additions. Three new treasure chests will appear in the game’s Great Plateau area. One has Link’s exclusive t-shirt and the other two have useful items. Along with the chests, there’s the addition of a Cave of Trials challenge, a new hard mode and a new feature for the in-game map. These are the items for the first pack coming out this summer.

The second will come out on the Holiday of 2017 where new challenges are added. Players can enjoy a new dungeon and a new story in extension to the original plotline.

However, there’s a catch. You can’t purchase any of these packs individually, Nintendo says. It’s either $20 or nothing at all. The expansion pass will be available for both Nintendo Switch and Wii U Versions of the game and are identical.
