Joloo Nah Shrine Walkthrough – Test of Will
When starting the Joloo Nah shrine, speak to any of the three Gorons next to the two platforms. If you’re looking for them, there are braziers around them. After that, they give you a goal. Your goal is to accomplish two “endurance” trials.
For the first test, you’ll need level 2 heat resistance. You can either induce it via armor or via elixirs and heat resistant food. Last two minutes and you’ll complete the first test.
After that, you’ll have the second test. This time you need Level 2 Flame Guard. However, you can’t use any armor that provides Flame Guard Level 2. When accomplishing this quest, you’ll have to rely on a powerful elixir lasting at least two minutes. One elixir you can use is combined with multiple fireproof lizards and smotherwing butterflies with monster parts. After that, take the elixir. Because of that, you’ll pass the test and reveal Joloo Nah Shrine.
Once inside the first room, interact with the terminal. Remember Toto Sah Shrine? The mechanics are similar. Rotate the gyroscopic controller in all directions to ensure that all of the nodes on the cube are all activated. To activate them, all nodes must pass by the crystal on the ceiling. Once they’re all activated, the next door opens.
When you reach the second room, use the terminal to align the central cube your controller. However, you have to do this in a way that the four wind streams form an “X” on your screen. Three windmills start spinning only the one in the bottom right corner doesn’t. Once you accomplish this, climb up the ramp on your left. There’s a treasure chest in the corner. Note that you have maintain the wind stream at all times. If you don’t, you can get the chest. However, you can maneuver it higher for better mobility.
After that, use Magnesis to grab a metal cube. Plop it down on top of the right-hand floor switch. This causes the fourth dead windmill to start spinning and rising. After that, glide to the left-hand floor switch and step on it. When you do so, the gate opens. Use your stasis to stop time and sprint through the gates before it shuts.
When you reachthe final room, interactwith the terminal to face a puzzle similar to the first room. Your goal is to rotate the cube so that torches on each of its sides light up. This is done with touching torches hanging from the ceiling. However, the difficulty here is that there are water fountains that will put out the fire if you’re not careful.
If you want to do this simply, make the second treasure chest fall to your position. Burn the ledge it rests on to do this. Once you do so, the chest drops on the switch at the foot of the left fountain. This lowers the pillar, removing the water stream. This makes it easier. Alternatively, you can light up a couple of the torches on the top faces of the cube withhanging torches. Leave the cube oriented diagonally towards you. Make sure the fountain does not blast torch. Finish the job and set the torches ablaze with the remaining fire arrows to finish up and head to the altar.
Once inside, head towards the altar to talk to Joloo Nah. After doing so, you get your Spirit Orb.
This guide is incomplete. There’s an entire additional apparatus after you pass through that gate that involves spinning a cube with torches on all six sides and getting those lit whilst in the middle of two water spouts (this room being through that last gate and before Joloo Nah). It’s required to make it through the shrine so not entirely sure why it wasn’t included here.
Hi Ralph!
Thanks for pointing it out! The net must’ve cut when I updated this. Adding that part now. 🙂
