In The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Octoroks are octopus-like creatures that jumps out of the water for a brief moments to fire a rock towards the player. These enemies has been a staple enemy in the Zelda games ever since the first game in the series for the NES.

Strategy
They emerge from underwater to spit a rock at you then quickly submerges in the water again, making them very difficult to hit. Another important thing to note is that you will mostly need long-range attacks to hit an Octorok. You can use arrows and bombs against them and they will easily be defeated since they have low HP. If you want a more stylish way of defeating them, you can deflect their rocks using your shield, but make sure that your shield is aimed towards the enemy so that it will hit back the Octorok.
