Suma Sahma Shrine Walkthrough [The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild]

This page contains a detailed guide on how to complete the Suma Sahma Shrine, including locations, enemies, items and strategy.

Suma Sahma Shrine Walkthrough

Suma Sahma Shrine is hidden close to the top of Mount Granajh (southeast of Wasteland Tower). You’ll need to complete a quest to access the shrine.

The shrine quest can be initiated by examining the Mountain Peak Log in a rundown shack as you approach the top of Mount Granajh.

Entering the shrine requires you to solve a puzzle by casting the shadow on the center circle of the pedestal on the cliff nearby. This can be done by lifting a snowball above your head and standing at around 4:20PM. You’ll need to perfectly align the snowball’s shadow with the core of the pedestal.

You can also try to drop the snowball in one of the two puddles (the smaller) of water near the shack. Then, conjure an ice block under the snowball to set it up so that the snowball is on top of the block.

After you’ve gained entrance to the shrine, just proceed to the altar and open the treasure from the chest. You’ll obtain a Spirit Orb after completing the quest.

  1. My husband just found another way to open the shrine. If you happen to waste all of your snowballs on other shananigans before you realize you needed it for a shrine, simply conjure an ice block, stand on top, and strip off all of your clothes. Your cold shadow will open the shrine without snowballs. Lol it worked like a charm
