Tah Muhl Shrine Walkthrough [The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild]

This page contains a detailed guide on how to complete the Tah Muhl Shrine, including locations, enemies, items and strategy.

Tah Muhl Shrine Walkthrough

Tah Muhl Shrine is located on the southwest of the Foothill Stable. It is directly to the south of Death Mountain.

Talk to Mayro at the Foothill Stable to initiate the shrine quest. You’ll need to find a shrine that resembles the painting on the stable’s wall. Then, head to the location of the shrine. It lies at the end of a small canyon to the southwest.

When you get in the shrine, you need to take out the ivy on the wall of the first room by using fire arrows or even normal ones (set alight by torches). You can also use remote bombs if you have any. Once you’ve cleared the ivy, you will find a passage that goes to the second room.

Once you reach the second area, destroy the ivy on the left as you go inside. This will cause the flames to spread up to the path going to the chest on the wooden ledge past the fence. Then, use Magnesis and get the key from there and above the fence. Grab the key and open the locked door to get to another chest.

From here, use bombs to destroy all the wooden crates and bushes that remain. You will uncover another treasure chest in the corner of the area (near the fence). Another chest will be found in an alcove blocked by some ivy. To get to the altar, just head for the ramp and go up.

After completing the shrine quest, you’ll obtain a Spirit Orb.
