The Weapon Connoisseur Side Quest

Funny thing is, the weapon connoisseur is a kid. Speak to Nebb, one of the children running around the street of Hateno Village. He’ll trigger a long term quest  during which he asks you to show him various weapons. Every time you take one back to him, he’ll give you a reward. However, his requests take you all over Hyrule. Sometimes, you’ll have to kill some creatures or you have to fight your way through dungeons.

Note, if you want to make your  life easier – do this quest gradually. And when you’re around a specific neighborhood, accomplish the other sidequests within the neighborhood.

Locations and Weapons

Weapons Location Reward
 Traveler’s Sword Head into one of the valley that leads to the Zora’s Domain. It’s east of Inogo Bridge. If you want to find the blade, it’s in between two abandoned carts. Red Rupee
 Fire Rod This weapon is a drop of the Fire Wizzrobes. You can find them roaming around the Training Camp, directly south of the Woodland Tower. Kill it with an ice arrow and grab the Fire Rod. Red Rupee
 Moblin Club  Check in Upland Zorana, near Zora’s Domain. Kill the Moblin around here and they’ll drop a Moblin Club eventually. Purple Rupee
Duplex Bow Common drop of the Yiga Footsoldiers. They’re usually lurking around the Yiga Clan Hideout, north of the Gerudo Desert. Purple Rupee
Windcleaver After clearing the Yiga Clan Hideout, go hunt down Yiga Blademasters. They’re on the road between the Lanaryu Tower and the Foothill Sable. Silver Rupee
Ancient Battle Axe + Defeat the Guardian Scout III. These are found found inside various shrines such as Muwo Jeem, Sasa Kai, Namika Ozz or, Mijah Rokee.  Silver Rupee
Frostspear Kill a Lizalfos at an outpost with a skull-shaped building in the Hebra Region. Climb up the Mozo Sheeno shrine and head NW across the Biron Snowshelf. You can also defeat the Lizalfos on one of the upper walkways of the Colisseum Ruins, in the south part of  the Central Tower region. Gold Rupee
Ancient Short Sword Buy from Cherry at Akala Ancient Tech Lab if you have completed the Robbie’s Research sidequest. This costs 1000 rupees, 5 ancient shafts, 2 ancient cores. Diamond
