Strategy

First Phase

The fight against Windblight Ganon is all about mobility. The boss uses his Wind Cannon and hurricanes as his only attacks against you at this point, so be ready to dodge them by moving around. He likes to spend a good amount of time in the air (as his affinity for wind suggests), so you’ll need to be keen with a bow and shoot his eye to momentarily stun him. Bomb Arrows are very useful against him. To make aiming at him easier, you can try to use the Paraglider on the air vents that take you up and at a more comfortable altitude to aim at his eye. It takes around two good shots to his eye to drop him to the ground. When you do manage to ground him (or catch him while he’s hanging around near the ground), run up to him and unleash a combo with your melee weapon.

Second Phase

The second phase of the fight is where Windblight Ganon will actually start to play “dirty”. He will summon four reflector funnels that follow him around. Watch out for when the each funnel starts to open (or bloom), as the boss will shoot at them, generating somewhat of a wind shot field that will soon rain down on you as 8 wind shots. When you see the funnels open, run away and quickly as farthest from the wind shot field as you can as these are quick and somewhat home on you as they rain down. He will employ his previous attacks from the first phase, so keep at him and stay mobile while chipping away at his health until you beat him.
