All Endings and their Unlocking Conditions Live A Live Remake

There are six scenario endings available for Live A Live Remake (Live A Live 2022 HD-2D Remaster). Each game ending has its own unlock conditions some are more complicated than others.

Ending Preparation

Hero Ending Preparations

Before starting the Final Chapter, you must pick your protagonist character. This character is the party leader and cannot be removed. Then, you will recruit other characters from the other time periods to join your party. Note, you can also recruit a few hero characters if you want (at least three hero characters are enough) to unlock an alternative hero ending. Make sure to save it in another save slot.

There will be End Game dungeons that are also unlocked and will be accessible if you have the associated party member in your active party. The dungeon will serve as a way to obtain the ultimate weapon of each character apart from gaining levels enough to defeat Odio, the final boss.

Villain Ending Preparations

If you pick Oersted as the party leader, the final chapter will progress differently called the Dominion of Hate. It will become a boss rush and you will command the boss enemies from the previous chapter to change history.

Villain Ending Routes

Armageddon Ending – Odio Route

Choose Oersted as your main character and start the Dominion of Hate scenario. Defeat all the time period hero characters through a boss rush. Make it a point to make your HP low in one battle, then finish off your opponent by picking the “Armageddon” command option when it becomes available (the flee battle command is changed).

This will cause an immediate game over and show a unique finale in favor of Odio.

Villain’s Bad Ending – Oersted Route

Choose Oersted as your main character and start the Dominion of Hate scenario. Defeat all the time period hero characters through a boss rush. DO NOT pick the “Armageddon” command option when it becomes available and finish the battle normally as a boss villain.

After clearing, an alternate ending will appear where Oersted and his incarnations will be the true victors.

Hero Ending Routes

Defeated Ending (After All)

Choose any final chapter hero as your main character except for Oersted. Whether you recruited the other hero character completely or not will not make a difference for this ending.

Reach the final battle and reach the 2nd battle phase against Pure Odio. Let him defeat you and your party resulting in his victory (using the ultimate attack does not make a difference). Odio will destroy everything, including the time periods, and the screen will go black.

Bad Ending (Never-Ending Cycle)

Choose any final chapter hero as your main character except for Oersted. Whether you recruited the other hero character completely or not will not make a difference for this ending.

Reach the final battle and win 2nd phase battle against Pure Odio. Odio will return to Oersted form and ask the protagonist character you chose to finish him off. Eliminate Oersted and he fades away. Each available hero will say his/her final piece in this ending.

Normal Ending

Choose any final chapter hero as your main character except for Oersted. HOWEVER, recruit a few hero characters (at least three hero characters are enough) in your roster.

Reach the final battle and win 2nd phase battle against Pure Odio. Odio will return to Oersted form and ask the protagonist character you chose to finish him off. Do not kill Oersted.

New True Ending

There is a sixth ending a reworked version of the True Ending from the original game. This New True Ending will debut in the remake version.

Choose any final chapter hero as your main character except for Oersted. Then, recruit the other heroes from the different time periods. You can only have 4 party members at a time but you must have all 7 of them on your roster.

Reach the final battle and win 2nd phase battle against Pure Odio. Odio will return to Oersted form and ask the protagonist character you chose to finish him off. DO NOT eliminate Oersted and turn your attention to the statue room of Devil’s Peak.

Oersted will appear and wake up the statues and send every character associated to a repeat boss fight. If all boss incarnations are defeated, Oersted will become Sin Odio. Defeat Sin Odio and watch the game’s new ending.
