Is Live A Live Remake Coming to Other Platforms?
Live a Live Remake (Live A Live 2022 HD-2D Remaster) was set to come out worldwide last July 22nd, 2022 for the Nintendo Switch. Originally a Japan-only release by Square for the Super Famicom in 1994, this upcoming version of the role-playing video game will feature updated visuals and gameplay to join the wave of “classic-style” JRPGs making a strong resurgence on modern platforms.
But is Live A Live Remake coming to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S/X, PC, or even mobile?
Official Confirmation for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam
On April 27, 2023, Live A Live Remake will be made available digitally for the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC through Steam, according to the announcement from publisher Square Enix and developer Historia. The remake was initially released exclusively on Nintendo Switch last July 22, 2023.
A demo version of the game is now accessible through the PlayStation Store (for PS4 and PS5) and Steam (for PC). Three of the game’s seven storylines—”The Distant Future,” “Twilight of Edo Japan,” and “The Wild West“—are now fully playable for the first time.
The “The Wild West” storyline was not playable in the Nintendo Switch demo edition. The demo version in Nintendo Switch offered access to “The Imperial China” storyline instead.
