New Content
A large portion of the changes in Ver. 1.22474487139 consist of new content which provides more detail to the main story.
Extra Content Overview and Guide
Added Episodes
The new episode, “Mermaid Princess,” will appear after progressing with the main story. Mermaid Princess will include a new boss battle.
Brand new side quests
A new quest, “The Promised Gift,” can be unlocked after obtaining an item and interacting with Popoi. The client is a captain standing by the docks.
New Word Buff
A new Word Buff, “Ashurfarra,” hastes MP recovery and grants HP absorption. You can unlock the new verse after the encounter with the new episode boss “Louise.”
A New Ending
Ending E, which follows the events after ending D, recounts another tale that was previously inaccessible. To tie up with the new unlockable ending, players can also earn a new trophy achievement for unlocking this mysterious ending.

Another change that can be observed is the presence of costumes. These changes take effect even during cutscenes.
Automata DLC

Better Graphics
The remaster comes with greatly enhanced graphics for the PS4 version. Cutscenes are crisp and clean. The graphics for Ver. 1.22474487139 is on-par with the previous installment, “NieR: Automata.”
Full Voice-overs
Unlike its predecessor where voices only show during combat, the latest version features full-dialogue voicing which make for a more immersive story-telling.
