Planning your approach
Each enemy that you encounter is vastly different from another. During an encounter, you can fight using a combination of the following weapon, sealed verses, and status effects.
Studying weapons
Each weapon falls under one of three types: one handed swords, two-handed swords, or spears. A weapon has three stats which include attack, magic power, and weight. Attack affects the weapon’s base damage, magic power calculates damage based on sealed verses used alongside the weapon, and weight affects the wielder’s attack speed. On a fresh file, you have to work with one-handed swords first.
Performing combos
The easiest way to chip the enemy’s health is to use auto attacks. One of the fundamental techniques to learn when whittling down an enemy is to execute combos. A combo involves pressing a sequence of buttons to achieve a desirable outcome of being efficient. While the controls across weapon types may look identical, the difference lies on the special effects that come with it.
Combo types
There are also categories for combos and they can be grouped according to the presence of factors. Some combos can be done on ground, some require timing like dodges or counter attacks, others require charging, and some require to be suspended in the air.
Understanding auras
In addition to the stats, weapons also have auras. Each weapon delivers an elemental attack when charged. Spears have the lightning aura, while both sword types can have varying auras.
Types of auras
Weapon types will produce different auras. Below is a list of auras:
- Fire
- Lightning
- Holy
- Darkness
- Earth
