Persona 5 Strikers Enemy Weakness and Status Effects
Unlike most action games, Persona 5 Strikers implements various role-playing game elements taken from Persona 5. Among these is the importance of knowing enemy attribute weaknesses.
You can view the effectiveness of your Persona’s skills on the enemy by looking for the “weak” icon that appears. An enemy will take massive damage from skills of the attribute they are weak to. This is particularly important during boss battles where you will be pit against a foe with high health.
Hitting an enemy with its weakness also allows you to reduce its “down gauge.” Depleting it completely causes the target to go into a downed state where it will temporarily be left vulnerable to follow-up attacks.
Neutral and Absorption
If your Persona takes damage from an attribute that shows a “-,” the damage counts as neutral. While the end goal is to carry a Persona that has multiple resists, it’s tough to pull off. Alternatively, you can strive to minimize the Persona’s weaknesses instead.
Sometimes you’ll also encounter Persona that can absorb a particular attribute. When the attribute that the Persona absorbs matches with the enemy’s attack, the damage does not apply and instead, heals the Persona that receives it. If you have collected Persona that excel in absorption, you can cycle among them depending on the situation to get some free heals.
Skill Attributes and Status Effects
Certain skill attributes inflict status effects which range from preventing enemies from moving to increasing damage of follow-up attacks of a specific attribute. Below is a list of all skill attributes and their associated status effects.
