Difficulty Mechanics
The difficulty setting does not affect the story
The main story is the same across all types of difficulty so feel free to choose the mode you prefer.
You can change the difficulty setting during the story except on Risky
If you encounter a tough challenge that you cannot seem to complete, you can try lowering the game difficulty in Config on the game menu.
The only exception to this feature is Risky difficulty. Note that once you decide to play on this mode, you cannot change it to a different difficulty afterwards.
Changes in RISKY difficulty
Apart from the substantial change in the difficulty curve, RISKY brings many changes that aren’t found in other difficulty levels. One of these include the roster of characters with Wolf being available by default and Sophia having access to Pandora.
The difficulty curve is steep with enemies having higher endurance. To compensate for this, the frequency of incenses have been increased through the following options like being able to buy them from Sophia’s shop, and as loot from regular enemies. Another change is the appearance of Lucifer in the Velvet Room.
