Dream Eaters

Dream Eaters split into two categories: one is the Nightmare Dream Eaters which eat dreams and plant nightmares. The other one is known as the Spirit Dream Eaters which eat nightmares. These creatures remain in a world where the Heartless and the Nobodies cannot enter. When fighting in the that world, the Nightmares will attack Sora, Riku, and the player during the adventures. But no need to fear. While in that world, the Spirits function as their allies and are craftable from recipes.

Spirits

Spirits are the more friendly and less hostile of the Dream Eater species. They are normally light-coloured and have black and yellow pupils with distinctly shaped pupils. Between them and their nightmare form, their difference is seen from their skin colour. All the spirits are animal-based and appear similarly to the heartless, Their main colour-theme is yellow.

Nightmares

Nightmares on the other hand are more malevolent and often times plant nightmares. Because of their hostile nature, they have darker colours similar to the Heartless. They also come in a range of different colours but, purple is their signature colour. The only one who doesn’t seem to show this is Lord Kyroo.
