Ryu Dragon
The Ryu Dragon’s design is inspired from the European dragon which is a quadruped mythical creature, with wings that slant downwards protruding from its back. However, it appears much less intimidating given that its snout is beak-like and its feet bearing one claw instead of the usual three. Its name comes from the Japanese word “ryū” which translates as “Dragon.”
Spirit Form
The Ryu Dragon’s spirit version is dominantly vibrant. Its upper body is light olive with some cream colors. Its wings starts off with cream and gradually changes to yellow, with shades of orange. This pattern is also seen along its legs which extends up to its feet and from its cheeks up to its snout. The spiky tips of the frills that cover the base of its cone shaped tail are shaded purple. This color also wraps around the bands of its arms. Its eyes have yellow pupils shaped like curved letter “Ms.” The Spirit Emblem is seen marked at the center of its forehead.
Nightmare Form
Ryu Dragon’s nightmare form contrasts its Spirit variant due to its darker shades. The charcoal black which forms its outer body covering replaces the light olive, while it retains its cream inner body coloration. The cool colors form the more intricate patterns: a deep purple, and the indigo shaded bands. Its snout, pupils, wing tips and bands on the tail are blood red which gradually fade into magenta. The Nightmare Emblem is tattooed at the center of its forehead.
