Strategy

First Phase

As with Waterblight Ganon, the eye is its weakness. Be sure to target it with the bow to temporarily stun it. Then, follow up with melee attacks. Fireblight Ganon is very slow to attack, though you shouldn’t be too confident. Its attacks hit hard and have wide range. Having a Giant Frostblade will be very effective in this fight.

Its only projectile at this point is the cluster of fireballs that it hurls at you. They are pretty easy to dodge, as long as you watch out for them.

Second Phase

When you get it to half its health, it will begin its second phase. Fireblight Ganon will imbue its sword with fire for even more damage. It will also coat itself with a flame barrier, so melee attacks aren’t really viable options right now. Watch out for its normal moveset from the first phase, but note when it starts to charge its fireball attack. During the charge-up, it will draw objects toward it. When it does this, throw a bomb at the boss and detonate it when he draws it to him.

The blast from the bomb will deal massive damage to him, as well as temporarily stun him for you to land a few more hits with a melee weapon. From this point on, he should have already dropped the flame barrier around him, so you can take him on at close range again. Just watch out for when he starts to charge his spinning sword attack which can really deal high damage if you have made some distance from him (see the image below for the stance that the boss assumes before performing this attack). Proceed to hit his eye again to stun him, then follow it up with a combo when he is stunned.

  1. This was painfully easy, especially if you just use arrows, sure you use a lot of them but….. I got hit only 5 times and I’m bad at this game. The easiest way that you could have done it is just spamming ice arrows at his eye since they do the most damage. I would like to share a great blog http://www.xfire.com where you can get more great stuff about Fireblight Ganon including really useful tips & tricks and all the latest news & updates about the game.
