Kuhn Sidajj Shrine Walkthrough – Trial of Second Sight

The Shrine Kuhn Sidajj stands along the shore of Lake Salia in the Great Hyrule Forest.

Note: This Shrine is part of the Korok Trials Side Quest.

Head to Korok Forest and talk to Chio to start on the Korok Trials. To begin this particular Shrine Trial, locate Zooki at the Southwestern end of Korok Forest. He stands on top of a boulder, which roughly is a moderate distance from the Korok Forest and Lake Salia.

The Beacon in the Darkness

Notice that a dense cloud has draped over the immediate surroundings. Fortunately, Magnesis is a valuable tool to provide some direction. By harnessing the Rune, this allows you to look through the fog as the nearest landmarks happen to have some form of metal fixed onto their “mouths.” In the event that you cannot see the next landmark, move around for a bit, rotating the camera as you go. This will soon alert you of the presence of a nearby figure as it is dyed a deep magenta hue when seen through the Magnesis.

The Pacifier

Not too soon, you will come across a clearing which stands out from the rest due to the rusty shield found at the central area. Using the Magnesis Rune, pull the Shield then insert it inside the Tree’s “mouth” in which a stone tablet sits at the footing. This activates a mechanism from a nearby tree, which yields a treasure chest from its “mouth.”

Bring up the Magnesis for the nth time, then drag it to the raft nearby, be sure to collect the item inside. Take the Korok Leaves from the clearing then board the raft. Fan the raft to direct it to the island at the middle of the lake. As you arrive at the new island you will find another tree. Insert the chest into the tree’s “mouth” to discover that the Kuhn Sidajj Shrine has made its appearance. Enter the Shrine to check the treasure chest, then proceed to the altar.

  1. I found that using stasis instead of magnesis works even better. The ore chunks in the trees’ mouths are valid targets for stasis so it causes them to glow bright white.
