Hylian Shield
One of the most well concealed items throughout the game, the Hylian Shield lies beneath the Hyrule Castle Dungeon which is loaded with passages and several mobs that attempt to ensnare those who attempt to take on the challenge.
To find this glorious item, take the West portion of the Castle then search for a passage that leads underground. This path takes you to the Prison which is lined up with cell after cell, housing formidable enemies inside. As you reach the far corner of the underground hall is a narrow path that terminates to a concrete wall which you can detonate with a Remote Bomb. This reveals a passage to an open area filled with skeletons.
The mini-boss Stalnox challenges you here, using its own body parts as weapons. Pierce its eye with your Bow and it will eventually attempt to chase after it. Bomb Arrows should effectively detach its eye when you catch it off-guard, then follow up with powerful heavy attacks to the eye.
Take it out to reveal a treasure chest that when opened will reward you with the magnificent Hylian Shield. Unlike others, this Shield grants 90 Defense Power coupled with supreme durability.
