A Royal Recipe
This is included among the Central Hyrule Region Side Quests. Depending on the outcome, you may obtain a silver rupee or two.
Begin the Side Quest by heading to Riverside Stable. This area stands at the Southeast of Hyrule Field. Look for Gotter who will ask you to obtain some recipes for him from the Hyrule Castle.
Upon arriving at the castle, there are two areas of interest to inspect: the first recipe rests on the prominent wooden table at the ground floor, and the second recipe is tucked in a book rack at the walkway above.
The Art of Cooking by the Book
Once the two books are in your possession, it’s time to concoct the food. The ingredients are fairly similar save for a couple of variations:
Fruitcake
This recipe requires that you have the following materials: at most 3 pieces of fruit (an example of a combination is apple, mighty banana, and wildberry); some tabantha wheat, and cane sugar.
Monster cake
The second recipe requires a more diverse set of materials: monster extract (an item obtainable from Kilton, or offered by a traveler in Hyrule Field); tabantha wheat, goat butter, and cane sugar.
Cook either of the two, then deliver the food to Gotter. He will recognize your mastery of the art of baking and will offer a silver rupee as an act of gratitude. If you happen to finish the other cake as well which is entirely optional, submitting this to him will net you another silver rupee.
Most of the materials namely the Tabantha wheat, Goat butter, and cane sugar are available from Rito Village.

Hi!
The recipes are in the library of the castle. The first is easily found on a table right when you walk in the second isnt on a book shelf it’s on a book stand second floor under the hole in the ceiling. Yes you can do this low level I have only 3 hearts and 1.5 stamina wheel. The hardest part is getting in the castle past the guardian patrol. Just farm for fairies in the grass in the fields out front.
Are there really only two recipes? it was implied there were more
when i tried to make the food, i just get simmered food or douboius food, i went to the castle and examined the books but still nothing do i have to make the food in the castle or something?
nevermind i made it at the cook station in the dining hall at the castle and it works so ya
You have to use three different fruits to make the fruitcake.
The location is very vague. Can we have some more detail
