Strategy

The regular footsoldiers only specialize in one attack, allowing you to memorize their pattern easily. However, the melee variants will first appear as harmless travelers that upon close inspection will reveal a cunning Yiga Clan footsoldier.

Be wary of the Blademaster variant since they not only have better durability, but also have immense offense that require a different approach. One of their attacks is a projectile that covers a long distance, to counter this move with a side hop to dodge the attack. They may also summon a homing attack that ends with a rock spike protruding from the ground. In order to intercept this you need to face vertically and jump then bring out the Paraglider. The steam rising from the crater should blow you off to safety away from the rock spike, which should lead you to attack your target.

  1. You forgot that the blade masters 1 hit kill you, but you could just stun lock them with fire arrows till they die, then take care of the archers, or if you want to show them that the thing they splintered from is much stronger now, use the ancient arrows.
