Managing HP and SP Guide
Using heals while in a battle
Recovery Items
When the Phantom Thieves are in a pickle, there’s always room for using heals. Recovery Items are accessible and can be bought from various shops on your free time. Swing by the shops and stock up on an assortment of heals to prepare for the upcoming heists.
Party Composition
Assign characters that have support skills. Mona, Sophia, and Panther can assume the role of a support member when situations get rough. Mona in particular acquires many beneficial support skills to prevent allies from getting knocked out.
Using heals outside of battle
BOND Skills
Other than using items or skills, you can also opt for BOND skills which can recover HP and SP even outside of battles. For example, the BOND skill, “Support Recovery,” restores both gauges at the end of every battle. With Support Recovery, the Phantom Thieves can keep engaging in combat without suffering too much from cool down times brought about by using items in between encounters.
Another BOND skill that is great to have is “Sneak Trick.” After mastering the use of sneak attack, you can also pair Support Recovery with Sneak Trick to facilitate recovery.
Use Auto Recover
Auto Recover is a feature that allows you to recover health while outside of an encounter. The downside to this method is that it foregoes SP in exchange for HP. That being said, you need to decide carefully whether you value having more HP than SP on those crucial moments.
Exit and re-enter the Jail
If you make the mistake of overspending your SP, you can also opt to back out from an infiltration using fast travel. Revisit the Jail to have your party fully restored.
