| 1 | After talking to the sleeping Carbuncle, you will find out that he is only pretending to be asleep. |

| 2 | Progress through a year in the game and return to Mag Mell. Talk to the Carbuncle again to hear information about the Miasma and the world. |
| 3 | Progress through another year to hear new information. The Carbuncle can be spoken to each year to hear up to 6 different pieces of information on Miasma and some lore. |
