Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Remastered Edition - Yuke Tribe

Overview

Strengths
  • Highest magic power and fastest casting speed
  • Long spell range
Weaknesses
  • Lowest defense and physical attack
  • Low speed
  • Hindered mobility because of reliance on spellcasting
Recommendation ★★

Yukes are the best spellcasters out of the four races, having the highest magic power and shortest casting times. This allows them to continuously bombard enemies with powerful magic, especially Holy, safely from a distance. Yukes also excel at healing when the party is in a pinch using Curaga or Full-Life.

Yukes are best suited to staying at the back lines, particularly in multiplayer. Keen positioning is also important as casting spells renders a character temporarily immobile. Beginners will likely struggle using Yukes in solo play so choosing them is not recommended when playing the game for the first time.

Multiplayer Guide

Pure Magic Damage and Support

Yukes should provide the party’s main offensive magic firepower while fulfilling the support role alongside Clavats. The powerful spells Holyra and Holy are the Yuke’s main offensive weapons against bosses while Firaga, Thundaga, Blizzaga, and Gravity can be used to pick off minions and other lesser enemies.

As with single player, Yukes should always be mindful of positioning during multiplayer because of their low health and defense. This becomes particularly important when casting spells as you cannot move while doing so. It also helps to have good familiarity with enemy patterns and timing to know when it is safe to cast magic.

Support magic such as Full Life, Curaga, Clear, and Haste are also good to have in your arsenal, though it is suggested that Clavats attend to healing allies instead. These spells are still important to have should there be no one else in the party with access to support spells.
