Falling Leaves Path Walkthrough

Reach the Water Hot Spot and Open the First Gate

1 Before starting your journey, make sure you already have a Mog that will help carry the chalice. This will make you focused more on fighting enemies and bosses.
2 Pick up the items from the 1st treasure chest (Raise Stone x1) and the 2nd treasure chest (Cure Stone x1) beside the signpost.
3 Make use of the items and start clearing the area from enemies.
2 Go east first and you will see the west drawbridge. Drop the chalice from south panel and stand on the north panel to bring the half bridge down.
3 Move west and north. Defeat more enemies you will encounter along the way.
4 Defeat the enemy near the Water Hot Spot and acquire first gate key. Carry and drop it in the pedestal to open the first gate.
5 Don’t pass by the first gate gate yet and look for the 3rd treasure chest (Phoenix Down x1) located southeast of the Water Hot Spot.

Open the Second Gate and Reach the Wind Hot Spot

1 Pass through the first gate and see another enemy holding the second gate key. Defeat it and place the key in the pedestal.
2 Before entering the second gate, go east and look for the 4th treasure chest (Wonder Bangle Artifact x1) nearby.
3 Go down the riverbanks and reach a new area with the Wind Hot Spot.
4 Go south and see the east drawbridge. Repeat the procedure in order to connect it to the west drawbridge.
5 Go to the northwest path and pass by the Wind Hot Spot. Keep on following the pathway until you reach a dead end. Examine the 5th treasure chest (Shuriken Artifact x1) located there.

Open the Third Gate

1 Return to the location of the second gate and enter it. Clear the area from enemies including Mus enemies.
2 Go to the northern uphill and examine the 6th treasure chest (Mage Masher Artifact x1).
3 Then, go to the northeast end to find the 7th treasure chest (Dragon’s Whisker Artifact x1).
4 Cross the broken bridge and grab the item from the 8th treasure chest (Phoenix Down x1) located in a riverbank.
5 Go west and get the third gate key from a nearby enemy.
6 Opening the third gate will link you from your starting location so don’t go south.

Reach the Second Water Hot Spot

1 Head north and defeat multiple enemies while managing your HP.
2 Ignore the southeast pathway since it connects to the other side of the broken bridge.
3 Keep going north and until you reach the northwest dead end. You will also find there the 9th treasure chest (Phoenix Down x1).
4 Go south and cross the short wooden bridge and find the second water hot spot. If you continue going eastward you will see two Moogle  residents.
5 Return to the signboard and go through riverbank for a rematch boss battle.

Tips and Strategies

Carry Thunder and Stop Resist Items

Make sure to bring resistance items for Thunder spells and Stop effects. Both regular enemies and the boss enemy can use Thundaga spells. If you have +2 resistance to Thunder, this can make you withstand paralysis effects.

Giant Crab Rematch (Hard) Boss Strategies

Take out the mobs

The boss has an army of mu’s that can interfere during the fight. Dispose of them quickly since these enemies can slow you down with stun and prevent your nuker from completing his cast time.

Bubble attack can now inflict Stop

The boss tends to slow you down and inflict stop effect using its bubble attack. While the projectile travels slowly, your best bet is to always be mobile. Avoid the bubbles to prevent the boss from gaining the opportunity to catch up with a powerful charged blast.

Keep using Fire spells

Kepp using firaga are useful not only against the boss but also its minions. On top of striking the boss’ weakness, the elemental magic also weakens its physical defense which paves the way for blunt weapons to do more damage.

Avoid Thundaga attacks

After you break the arms of Giant Crab, it will begin casting Thundaga continuously. Make sure to equipment Thunder resistant equipment to reduce damage.

Keep moving

The boss still jumps around in order to hit your character. Keep moving around the arena to avoid getting hit.
