What is a Cycle?

Collecting Myrrh from the tree in any of the dungeons depletes the tree of its Myrrh. You must then wait two (2) in-game years to allow the tree to replenish itself. The time it takes for Myrhh to become obtainable again is called a Cycle.

Cycle Change Effects

When a dungeon progresses into its next cycle, new sections of the area can be explored while previously open ones will sometimes be blocked off. Stronger enemies will also appear and bosses will gain new attacks. Certain artifacts, materials, and equipment scrolls are also only obtainable on certain Cycles, making them very rewarding to farm during these stages.

Cycle Change Limit

Almost all dungeons will undergo two complete Cycle changes, meaning each area can progress up to Cycle 3. The only exception is the final dungeon which always remains in its first Cycle.

Missable Items

Past Cycle 3, all dungeons will remain the same. This means that monsters, bosses, materials, equipment scrolls, artifacts, and areas which appear during Cycle 3 of an area become permanent, making it possible to miss out on certain obtainable items that are only available in earlier cycles.
