Mushroom Forest Walkthrough

Cross the Miasma Stream

1	Before crossing the Miasma Stream, feel free to go back to your hometown in order to resupply or upgrade your weapon and equipment.
2	Go back to the world map and make sure your crystal chalice has the required element in it.
3	Head north in order to enter the Miasma Stream.
4	Keep going north until you reach the next region, Iron Mine Downs.
5	While in the world map, go west to enter the Mushroom Forest / Fungi Forest.

Find the First Mushroom Tramp

1	Go west and defeat the enemies. Open the 1st treasure chest (40 Gil) obtain gold.
2	Keep going west while defeating more Ochu and Carrion Worm enemies. Feel free to take any path when you reach the fork on the road. Take out more enemies until the path merges again.
3	Get on the first mushroom tramp to reach the next area.

Find the Third Mushroom Tramp

1	Take out the Ahriman in the upper area. Afterwards, open the 2nd treasure chest (Buckler Artifact x1) and make your way on the path going east.
2	You will notice the second mushroom tramp that will connect you to the starting location. Ignore it and keep going east. Choose either path again when you reach another fork.
3	Keep following the path you took while taking out more Ahriman along the way. The 3rd treasure chest (Cat’s Bell Artifact x1) is found just past the open area.
4	Press on east while defeating more enemies with the 4th treasure chest (Green Beret Artifact x1) just coming into view as you go further up the path. Afterwards, follow the road west marked by more monsters that you should take out.
5	Get on another mushroom above to jump to and open the 5th treasure chest (Moogle Pocket Artifact x1) in the next upper area.
7	Check the mushroom to your right find a 4th Moogle Nest and get a Moogle Stamp #6 inside.

Tips and Strategies

Acquire Moogle Stamp #6

Before leaving the Mushroom Forest, make sure to locate the fourth Moogle Nest. After using the third mushroom tramp, acquire the item from the treasure chest and examine the east side of the mushrooms to find a secret hole.

Malboro Boss Strategies

Here is a breakdown of the battle strategies against the boss:

Defeat the mobs

Similar to Goblin King will have minions that interfere during the fight. Before anything else, clear the area of mobs before taking on the boss.

Interrupt the boss’ cast

When the boss takes time absorb using its mouth, go all out with physical attacks and spells especially fire elemental ones.

Use Fire Magic

Use fire magic to deal damage to the boss from a distance. You can also make use of focus attacks as an alternate projectile attack.

Dodge Bad Breath

After you notice the boss tilt its head back, take off to the other side of the boss area to evade it.
