World of Hercules Details
Hercules Returns!
Hercules and his world are back again in Kingdom Hearts 3. Instead of being called “Olympus Coliseum”, their world is now just named “Olympus”. This may indicate that the world is not just bound to the famous arena anymore. Sora and his friends may be able to explore other parts of the world now as well.
In addition to Hercules, other known characters in the franchise like Hades and Pegasus will return as well.

Zeus’ First Appearance
Zeus will appear for the first time in the Kingdom Hearts series. His role in the story is currently unknown.
New Keyblade
According to the trailer below, there is a new keyblade connected to Olympus. This new keyblade is shown to transform into a shield, which hints that other keyblades can also transform into other types of weapons.

Hercules’ History in Kingdom Hearts
Tournaments at the Olympus Coliseum
The world of Hercules has appeared in Kingdom Hearts since the first game. The Olympus Coliseum allowed Sora to participate in tournaments like the Phil Cup, the Pegasus Cup, and the Final Mix-exclusive Platinum Match. One of the most popular fights in the Coliseum is against Sephiroth from Final Fantasy 7, so it is possible that other Final Fantasy characters may appear in the game in the future.
Appearance of Hades and Other Bosses
Popular Hercules enemies like Hades, Cerberus, and Hydra have appeared at least once in the Kingdom Hearts series. However, these Olympus villains may have a new powerful ally for Kingdom Hearts 3.
What is Hercules?
A Story of Becoming a Hero
Hercules is a film released by Disney in 1997. The film stars a demigod who had been given a concoction by Hades that removed almost all of his godly powers and turned him mortal. However, Hades was not able to remove Hercules’ superhuman strength, which in turn allowed Hercules to question his origin and seek answers at the temple of Zeus. At the temple, Zeus revealed to him that he could regain his godlike powers if he becomes a true hero. The film follows Hercules on his journey to become a true hero and regain his godhood.
Will Hercules help Sora again?
In the trailer shown at E3 2018, there was a scene where Hades summons an Ice Titan to battle Sora, but Hercules comes to Sora’s aid to fight the titan together. Like in the past Kingdom Hearts games, their partnership will help them defeat Hades and other bosses.
