Mozo Shenno Shrine Quest: The Bird in the Mountain
The Bird in the Mountains is a Shrine quest for Mozo Shenno. If you’re looking for this quest, get it from Molli. She’s currently in Rito Village. While you don’t really need the quest, it’s good additional rewards and exp.
When Link speaks with her, she asks if he wants to hear a story. Click yes and she’ll recite a story her grandfather told her. Apparently, there was a “great white bird” that he once saw while climbing a tree. It’s in the Hebra Mountains, north of the village. She remembers him mentioning something extremely important about the bird having eaten something. Unfortunately, she falls asleep before hearing what it is. Nonetheless, she tells you where to find the great white bird.
With that, climb the tree and check where Molli said her grandpa saw the bird. However when Link takes a closer look, apparently – it’s actually the shadow of a massive mountainous formation. Now, jump off the tree using the Paraglider to glide towards the formation. When you get there, Mozo Senno Shrine becomes visible in a small opening. Once you activate the shrine, the quests is completed.
While the quest isn’t necessary to access the shrine, having it helps. However, if you discovered it beforehand then, Molli’s quest is accepted and completed simultaneously.
Mozo Shenno Shrine: Major Test of Strength
Unfortunately, this shrine is also a combat shrine. Remember how Hia Miu shrine worked? Yeah, it’s almost the same save for the weapons attached to it. The Guardian Scout IV is armed with a sword, a battle axe, and a spear. The battle is similar to that Hia Miu Shrine and Saas Ko’sah Shrine.
Like many of the guardians, it employs spinning attacks and laser attacks. There are several ways to approach this. You can use an elemental weapon to deal more damage. If you have a frost weapon, it’ll give you a great advantage.
You can also employ the same hit-and-run strategy employed in Dah Kaso, Chaas Qeta, Namika Ozz, Noya Neha. When attacking, wait for its attacks to fly in before dodging. Once you dodge, you can go for the Flurry Rush to deal more damage.
As it employs spinning attacks, you have a block. Use the block to stun the Guardian Scout IV and halt its spinning attacks. Deal more damage when you see it stunned.
However, at half of its life, it’ll start using a spinning laser. You can either back up or glide over to deal jumping damage.
But when it’s about to go down, it intends to smash you down with a powerful laser. If its life is too high, dodge the attack. If its life is too low, rush in and smack it down before it fires an attack.
When you finish up, head to the altar and speak to Mozo Shenno. When you speak to him, he’ll give you your Spirit Orb.
