Based on official trailers and announcements, Octopath Traveler 2 may not feature any characters from the first game. This means that there is little hope for any of the 8 Travelers (playable characters) like Olberic, Primrose, and H’aanit to appear in the follow-up title which may be disappointing for some fans.
Takes place in a different setting from the first game.
Octopath Traveler 2, while described as a sequel to Octopath Traveler, was revealed to take place in the fictional world of Solistia, an entirely different setting from the first game. The latest entry to Square Enix’s fairly young but already-beloved franchise will tell the interwoven story of its cast of 8 new Travelers who are as unique to each other as Octopath Traveler.
