How to Transfer Octopath Traveler 2 Playstation 4 Save Data to PlayStation 5
You can transfer your Octopath Traveler II Playstation 4 (PS4) game data to your PlayStation 5 (PS5) console via a Wi-Fi or LAN connection. This allows you to migrate your saved file and continue your progress on the PS5.
Transferring PS5 game data to PS4 is not supported.
Note that there is currently no way to transfer PS5 save files to the PS4. Please do not use the method described below as it will not work and may result in data corruption or unwanted bugs.
Below are the steps to transfer your PS4 game data to the PS5. Note that the information below was taken from the official PlayStation website.
Preparation: Playstation 4 (PS4) Console
| 1 | On your PS4 console, sign in to the same account as the one on your PS5. |

| 2 | Make sure your PS4 has been updated with the latest system software version. |
| 3 | Go to Trophies and press the OPTIONS button. |
| 4 | Choose Sync with PlayStation Network. |
Connection: Playstation 4 (PS4) Console to PlayStation 5 (PS5) Console
Method A: Transfer Data via Network Only
| 1 | Connect your PS4 and PS5 console to the same network. |

Method B: Transfer Data via LAN Cable
| 1 | Connect your PS4 and PS5 console to the same network. |

| 2 | Use a LAN cable to connect your PS5 console to your PS4 console. This will enable faster data transfer. |
| 3 | Begin data transfer. |
Data Transfer: Playstation 4 (PS4) Console and PlayStation 5 (PS5) Console
| 1 | Use the on-screen instructions on your PS5 console to proceed with the initial setup. |

| 2 | After the initial setup, turn on your PS4 and PS5 consoles. |
| 3 | Connect the PS4 and PS5 consoles to the same network using either method A (network only) or method B (with LAN cable). |
| 4 | On your PS5 console, go to Settings > System > System Software > Data Transfer > Continue. |
| 5 | Select the PS4 console that you want to transfer data from when it is detected. |
| 6 | You will get a message on your PS5 console that says “Prepare for Data Transfer.” Afterward, press and hold the power button on your PS4 console for at least one second. When done correctly, you should hear a beep. |
| 7 | On your PS5 console, select the game data you want to transfer from your PS4 console. |
| 8 | Select Start Transfer. |
| 9 | During data transfer, your PS5 console will then automatically restart. |
| 10 | Load your transferred game data on your PS5 console. |
