Are There Romance Options in Octopath Traveler II?
No romance between characters based on game trailers and other official announcements.
Octopath Traveler 2 will likely not feature any sort of romance mechanic as no information on it has been revealed in various game trailers and official announcements. This means that there is little possibility to view any special events where two characters will end up in a romantic relationship with each other.
New Crossed Paths feature may still feature romance scenes (to be confirmed).
Crossed Paths are a type of story event and are among the new features introduced in Octopath Traveler 2. These special sections are essentially tales involving two Travelers (playable characters) during their journey throughout Solistia.
While yet to be confirmed in the game, certain Crossed Paths may culminate in or at least hint at romance between two characters. The pairings of Travelers are, however, already fixed in the game so the possibility of freely romancing any character is highly unlikely.
