Party Member Ranking Breakdown
Throné Anguis (Thief)
Initial Job Class | Thief |
---|---|
Initial Damage Types | Dagger, Sword, Dark |
Throné is the best party member in the game, owing to her impressive versatility and the ability to act twice using her Latent Power. Throné can easily switch between offensive and support duties depending on the situation in battle. Her damage output, meanwhile, is also exceptional as she can simply attack or use skills twice.
Throné’s Blessing of Darkness Talent raises the physical attack, elemental attack, and speed of all allies during nighttime and is arguably the best buff unique to her.
Ochette (Hunter)
Initial Job Class | Hunter |
---|---|
Initial Damage Types | Axe, Bow, Lightning |
Ochette’s ability to summon monsters she has captured gives her access to a wide variety of damage types. With just Ochette alone, you are able to exploit the weaknesses of different enemies in the game. Summoned monsters are also incredibly powerful in their own right, allowing Ochette to carry the party against enemies that are several levels higher than you.
Giving Ochette a bit more utility is her Prepare Talent which lets you convert captured monsters you do not need into items. A lot of monster byproducts can be sold off for lots of Leaves at shops which makes Ochette a good party member for farming money.
Partitio Yellowil (Merchant)
Initial Job Class | Merchant |
---|---|
Initial Damage Types | Bow, Polearm, Fire |
Partitio’s main selling point is his Donate BP skill which lets him transfer the resource to any ally. This ability is arguably the most useful and versatile support ability as other party members with powerful skills can act earlier before the enemy does. Partitio himself has very fast BP gain which complements his primary role well in the team well.

Temenos Mistral (Cleric)
Initial Job Class | Cleric |
---|---|
Initial Damage Types | Stave, Light |
Temenos access to a wide variety of support skills to heal and revive allies makes him an obvious choice for taking on tough enemies like bosses. His one-time auto-revive ability is also a good safety for when you miscalculate in battle.
Outside of healing duties, Temenos can also chip away at enemy Shield Points without having to account for elemental weaknesses. His Moonlight Judgement Talent, meanwhile, applies several debuffs on all enemies at night time. Upon activation of Moonlight Judgement, all enemies are blinded, have lower accuracy, and have low physical and elemental defenses. Your party meanwhile, is safeguarded from oncoming attacks.

Hikari Ku (Warrior)
Initial Job Class | Warrior |
---|---|
Initial Damage Types | Sword, Polearm |
Hikari is a straightforward offensive character specializing in physical attacks. He requires very little resource management and is essentially a constant source of damage for your party. You can somewhat make Hikari more well-rounded using his Learned Skills Talent, though will still not be as flexible as other characters.
Osvald V. Vanstein (Scholar)
Initial Job Class | Scholar |
---|---|
Initial Damage Types | Stave, Fire, Ice, Lightning |
Osvald is the party’s best magic attacker with access to a variety of elemental spells to nuke multiple targets. For boss battles, Osvald can use his Latent Power to change any multi-target magic into single-target to make them more powerful. Damage can further be increased when the enemy is in Break status or when Osvald is boosted.

Agnea Bristarni (Dancer)
Initial Job Class | Dancer |
---|---|
Initial Damage Types | Dagger, Wind |
Agnea specializes in the support role by applying useful buffs on allies that can make them last longer thanks to her The Show Goes On passive. This makes her somewhat useful during drawn-out battles or against bosses with very high HP and Shield Points.
Agnea is also able to temporarily invite NPCs to her side and call them into battle using her Allure Path Action. This also allows Agnea to activate certain support effects that are unique to each NPC.

Castti Florenz (Apothecary)
Initial Job Class | Apothecary |
---|---|
Initial Damage Types | Axe, Dark, Ice, Light, Wind |
Castti is a versatile character that can greatly contribute to both damage dealing and support duties using her Concoct Talent. While dependent on resources, Castti’s concoctions have several useful effects in one, such as damaging enemies while healing allies or applying buffs (allies) and debuffs (enemies) at the same time.
When short on materials, Castti can use her Latent Power to ignore required items and craft any concoction in battle.
