Ways to Increase Steal Success Rate Against Monsters
Reduce the enemy’s HP.
Lowering a monster’s HP increases Throne’s chances of stealing from them. This means that you are more likely to pilfer equipment from your target the closer their health is to critical. You can know how weak the enemy is based on the font color of their name in battle (white for full to near full, yellow for half to near half, and red for critical).
Activate Boost.
Steal chance also rises when Throne is Boosted. For the best chance of nabbing items in battle, try to boost Throne up to 4 times.
Get information from NPCs.
Throne’s Steal success rate is also increased when you have obtained specific information on monsters from NPCs found in towns and villages. To hear information from townspeople, you will need to use certain Path Actions on them. Note that using different Path Actions on the same NPC can get you new results so try to experiment with each Traveler’s unique abilities during the day and at night.

Ways to Increase Steal Success Rate Against NPCs (Townspeople)
The chances of stealing equipment from townspeople is based on Throne’s level. If there is an NPC with an item that you want but has a low steal success rate, try to spend time leveling up Throne first.
Note that failing to steal from townspeople will lower your reputation. Because of this, avoid stealing when the rate is very low.
