Family Trade

After deciding the race and appearance for your character, you will be asked to pick a family trade. The family will reside in the starting location. They will interact with you in a number of a ways like send you letters or offer their services.

Races

Alchemist

The alchemist produces scrolls which are crafting ingredients for various gear. He can send you scrolls each year if you befriend him.

Blacksmith

The blacksmiths forge items for you. Each time you pick up a pattern on your adventure, you can deliver it to the blacksmith to have them craft gear. Form good relations with your father to unlock discounts and improve the inventory.

Farmer

The farmers accept seed donations. Establish good relations with them and they can send you the fruits of their harvest each year.

Fisherman

The fishermen send you fish if you form good relations with them. The amount of fish you get depends on your relationship with them.

Merchant

If you please your father, you can avail of more items and better prices.

Miller

Millers accept seed donations. You can receive items such as flour or bread in return.

Rancher

Similar to the farmers, the ranchers also send you food. They accept cows and will offer meat or milk each year. You can get better food if you treat them well.

Tailor

Having tailor parents is similar to blacksmiths. Tailors produce accessories from patterns if you meet the required conditions. They accept pattern and some materials. The quality of the crafted item depends on your relationship with your father.

How to boost your bond

The bond you have with each family member is gauged by a face icon. The face can range from an angry icon to a happy icon. You can raise the bond by responding politely to the family letter and sending a gift after finishing a dungeon and getting a drop of myrrh. Sometimes, the family member will ask for certain items. If you’re unsure of what to give, you can always send either seeds or money to improve your bond. The bond will influence the outcome of certain events.
