Defeat the mobs

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Remastered Edition - Cave Worm - Defeat mobs first
Defeat the minions that litter the field. You need to ensure that no other enemies are around when you fight the boss.

Dodge sideways

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Remastered Edition - Cave Worm - Dodge sideways
The boss’ attacks mainly travel across a straight line. For example, if it is about to open its mouth, perform sidesteps to evade the attack.

Switch to ranged attacks

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Remastered Edition - Cave Worm - Use focus attacks
Use holy. If you opt to use thunder or ice spells, make sure to cycle which one to use depending on the enemy. The minions can be hit using ice while the boss can’t eat thunder magic. Ranged attacks come in handy after whittling down the boss since it helps you avoid running into it accidentally and taking big damage from its slam.
