Aerith Gainsborough is a young, beautiful, and somewhat mysterious woman Cloud meets after the Mako reactor bombing. Aerith met Cloud while selling flowers on the streets of Midgar. She decided to join Cloud soon after meeting him. Her unique abilities enable her to use magic, but she seems more interested in the deepening love triangle between herself, Cloud, and Tifa.

Aerith Gainsborough is voiced by Maaya Sakamoto (JP) and Mandy Moore (EN).
