Area 1: Train Graveyard
| 1 | Before proceeding, save your game at the Save Point. Prepare for random enemy encounters. |

| 2 | Enter the first train car and proceed until the end. Pick up a Hi-Potion in the first brown barrel. |
| 3 | Go back to the Save Point and climb to the first train car roof. Pick up another Hi-Potion along the way. |
| 4 | Continue to the next train car and turn right at the metal beam. |
| 5 | Pick up a Potion in the next train car and go to the opposite side of the metal beam. |
| 6 | Proceed upward and pick up an Echo Screen in the second brown barrel. |
| 7 | Move to the center area between two trains and enter the train doorway from the left train. |
| 8 | Continue until the end and turn left to reach another ladder. |
| 9 | Climb up the ladder and move to another. |
| 10 | Move downward and proceed to the screen up north. |
| 11 | Move north as far as you can and pick up a Potion to the side. |
| 12 | After entering the next screen, move to the right and pick up another Potion. |
| 13 | Travel further to the left and pick up an Ether. |
| 14 | Proceed to the right train and Cloud will automatically move it forward. |
| 15 | Go around the backside of the train engine and pick up the Hi-Potion on the north train car. |
| 16 | Continue moving to the left side by moving around another train car. |
| 17 | Proceed to the left even further when you arrive in the Sector 8 Train Station. |
Area 2: Sector 7 Pillar and Plate Support
| 18 | Watch cutscene: Sector 7 Pillar battle with Barret. |

| 19 | Aeris will leave the party. Her Materia will be returned to you. Equip her Restore Materia and Steal Materia to either Cloud or Tifa. |
| 20 | Purchase Potions or Phoenix Downs across the man on the left side. |
| 21 | Save your game prior to heading upward. Prepare for random enemy encounters. |
| 22 | Climb the stairs until you reach the plate support of the Sector 7 Pillar. |
| 23 | Barret will join your party. Don’t forget equip him with items and materia before engaging the boss battle. |
| 24 | Boss battle with “Reno.” |
| 25 | After the boss battle, speak to Tifa and Barret. Then, a helicopter will take Aerith away before the pillar will begin to explode. |
| 26 | Speak to Barret again to make an escape from the pillar. |
Walkthrough Part 4 – Destruction of Sector 7 Strategy
1) Before proceeding, save your game at the Save Point. Prepare for random enemy encounters.
2) Enter the first train car and proceed until the end. Pick up a Hi-Potion in the first brown barrel.
6) Proceed upward and pick up an Echo Screen in the second brown barrel.
11) Move north as far as you can and pick up a Potion to the side.
12) After entering the next screen, move to the right and pick up another Potion.
14) Proceed to the right train and Cloud will automatically move it forward.
15) Go around the backside of the train engine and pick up the Hi-Potion on the north train car.
17) Proceed to the left even further when you arrive in the Sector 8 Train Station.
18) Watch cutscene: Sector 7 Pillar battle with Barret.
20) Purchase Potions or Phoenix Downs from the man on the left side.
22) Climb the stairs until you reach the plate support of the Sector 7 Pillar.
23) Barret will join your party. Don’t forget equip him with items and materia before engaging the boss battle.
24) Boss battle with “Reno.”
25) After the boss battle, speak to Tifa and Barret. Then, a helicopter will take Aerith away before the pillar will begin to explode.
