Parties

After finalizing your chosen race and customizing your character’s appearance, you need to learn about parties and roles.

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered Edition - Parties

Ideally, parties need to accommodate characters consisting of different roles. If you’re playing on single player, you have the freedom to choose whichever race you want. However, in multiplayer, your best bet is to assign roles to each player that you’ll be playing with as soon as possible. Be consistent with the role in mind and develop the chosen race to match the desired role.

Races

Single Player Experience

If for some reason you don’t have access to multiplayer, you can choose whichever race you intend on playing with. Ideally, you need to pay close attention to the way attributes work to go through the story smoothly. Playing single-player entails having to juggle different actions compared to sticking to one.

In single-player, roles are not set in stone which means you can even form unorthodox builds. Keep in mind that the following these kinds of builds however it comes at the price of accepting the limitations for taking such paths. For example, you may want to play as a Yuke but intend to not use magic attacks. Following this build will force you to play with less optimal gear as opposed to playing as a Lilty which naturally grows as a fighter class.

Assigning Roles (Multiplayer)

Below is a list of races and their potential roles:

  • Lilty as tank
  • Yuke as spellcaster or nuker
  • Clavat as physical or magic dps
  • Selkie as supporter

Following the template above, the party has better chances of carrying out quests compared to having duplicate races on the same party or parties with less diversified roles.
