Luxord returns in Kingdom Hearts 3 along with other members of Organization XIII. As for his appearance, Luxord’s eyes seem to have changed from blue to gold in this game.

In Kingdom Hearts 3, Luxord seems to be searching for a “box”. In should be noted that a certain Black Box has been referenced in the film Kingdom Hearts x Back Cover and may or may not be what Luxord is after.

Kingdom Hearts x Back Cover tells the oldest story of Kingdom Hearts in terms of its timeline. In it, the Master of Masters forged and entrusted unique keyblades to each of his six disciples. One of the disciples, Luxu, is also given a Black Box by their master. Luxord may indeed be looking for this box, though this has only been speculated. Furthermore, the contents of the Black Box are currently unknown.

Luxord is also depicted as having a sophisticated and gentlemanly personality, having deep knowledge of rhetoric and vocabulary.

Sora clashed with Luxord in The World that Never Was (Organization XIII’s fortress,) Luxord falling in battle and fading into nothingness.

Friendship with Roxas

Luxord and Roxas are the 10th and 13th members of Organization XIII respectively. Their late entry to the organization somehow allowed them to share their problems with each other as newcomers.

This previous friendship is hinted at when Sora strikes down Luxord in Kingdom Hearts II. Before fading, Luxord says “Roxas, How could you?”
