Cu Chulainn

Cu Chulainn belongs to the Star Arcana in Persona 5. He is based on an Irish mythical hero who appears in stories of the Ulster Cycle.

He was originally named Setanta, but has since changed his name when he killed Culann’s guard dog in self-defense, offering himself as a replacement. He has often clashed with Queen Mab, his archrival and a tyrant in the land that she owns. He wields the legendary spear Gáe Bolg, which was given to him by Scathach, his mentor.

Cu Chulainn returns as a persona in Persona 5 Strikers (or Persona 5 Scramble). The persona can be summoned or fused by the Protagonist (codename: Joker), the returning main character and leader of the Phantom Thieves from Persona 5.
