Lilith

Lilith appears in Jewish Folklore as Adam’s very first wife. In Jewish mythology, she became the very first succubus after mating with the archangel Samael. However, she isn’t always a succubus. Some others believe she is a Lamia, a woman with the body of a snake. Based on other pieces of literature, Lilith is one of the first demon queens. She’s found in ancient Mesopotamian religion. Historians found her name in different places, such as in the cuneiform texts of Sumer. Others found her in literature from the Akkadian Empire, Assyria, and Babylonia.

However, there are some differences. While God created Eve from Adam’s rib, Lilith came from the same dirt that God used for Adam. Despite the dark history, Lilith’s existence became prominent during the Middle Ages. She appeared in the tradition of Aggadah, Zohar, and Jewish mysticism. When asked to return to the garden, Lilith refused. Since she refused to serve Adam, Lilith banished herself from the gardens. This happened after she mated with Samael.

Lilith returns as a persona in Persona 5 Strikers (or Persona 5 Scramble). The persona can be summoned or fused by the Protagonist (codename: Joker), the returning main character and leader of the Phantom Thieves from Persona 5.
