Mitamas are a type of rare mysterious spirit roaming the various locations of Da’at in Shin Megami Tensei V (SMT 5). Defeating them rewards you with expensive items, a massive amount of experience, or Glory. Mitamas are incredibly alert and cautious and will run away if they sense danger or are approached.

Types of Mitama

There are four types of Mitama that spawn in the game:

Mitama	Details	Weakness	Spawn Locations
Saki Mitama	Drops expensive items upon defeat.	Random per encounter	All Locations Randomly
Ara Mitama	Drops massive amounts of experience upon defeat.	Random per encounter	All Locations Randomly
Kushi Mitama	Drops massive amounts of experience upon defeat.	Random per encounter	All Locations Randomly
Nigi Mitama	Drops Glory upon defeat.	Random per encounter	All Locations Randomly

Mitama Race Demons

Mitama Spawn Rate

Mitamas have a very low spawn rate and will run away if they spot you. Because of this, you should try to ambush them before they have a chance to flee.

How to Increase Spawn Rate of Mitama Demons

You can purchase the DLCs below to boost the chances of encountering various Mitama in the game. Note that these paid content are also included in the Shin Megami Tensei V Digital Deluxe Edition.

Mitama Dance of EXP

Mitama Dance of EXP DLC increases the spawn rate of Kushi Mitama and Ara Mitama which drop a good amount of experience when defeated.

Mitama Dance of Wealth

Mitama Dance of Wealth DLC increases the spawn rate of Saki Mitama which, upon defeat, drop items that can be sold at high prices in shops to earn Macca (money).

Mitama Dance of Miracles

Mitama Dance of Wealth DLC increases the spawn rate of Nigi Mitama which drops Glory when defeated.
